Rod leads neutron imaging and radiation effects testing operations, helping aerospace and defense customers ensure their systems perform reliably under extreme conditions. He oversees customer relationships and growth strategy for both Phoenix imaging services and FLARE radiation testing. Rod brings over 30 years of experience in defense and aerospace, including 20 years as a U.S. Army aviator and senior leadership roles at L3 Harris and Honeywell Aerospace. He holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy.
Sam works with aerospace and defense customers to deliver neutron imaging solutions that ensure the safety and reliability of critical components. She helps clients understand how Phoenix's advanced neutron imaging technology can solve their most complex inspection challenges, from turbine blades to explosive devices. Sam's focus on building strong customer relationships and her deep understanding of imaging applications make her a trusted partner for organizations requiring precise, non-destructive testing.
Dr. Martin Wissink is the Imaging R&D Lead at Phoenix, LLC, where he is developing new technologies, markets, applications, and solutions for neutron imaging, neutron computed tomography, and neutron radiation effects testing for customers spanning aerospace, defense, R&D, and academia. Martin has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. From 2015 – 2022, Martin was a researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he led the development of applied neutron diagnostics for advanced transportation technologies.
Neutron Radiography NDT Level II
Stephen receives POs from customers, makes the job packets and tray labels for the guys on the floor to get the day started, and works in the film viewing station reading film and signing certifications.
Neutron Radiography NDT Level III
Mike's responsibilities include writing and approving inspection technique sheets, training and certifying Phoenix NDT personnel, and viewing and certifying radiographs. As the technical lead for the Phoenix neutron radiography program, he works to ensure the process produces quality radiographs for Phoenix customers.
Cal plays a pivotal role in the seamless onboarding of customers, orchestrating the smooth shipping and receiving of parts, and maintaining clear communication channels for and enhanced customer service experience.
Neutron Radiography NDT Level III
Patrick joined Phoenix in the summer of 2019 and has witnessed the progress from the very first images to full commercial operations and expansion. He is responsible for scheduling and executing high-quality services to Phoenix customers, as well as managing regulatory obligations, audits, and the production team.
